Merchant
Terms
Moooce — shoppable video for Shopify. Last updated 2 October 2026.
These terms are the agreement between Mindthemedia ApS (CVR 34466572, Denmark), which operates Moooce, and the merchant who installs the Moooce app in their Shopify store. They are not the terms your customers agree to — those are your own store's terms, which Moooce shows in the player and links to at checkout.
What Moooce does
Moooce lets you place products from your store on a video and share a link. A customer watching that video builds a cart in the player and is then sent to your Shopify checkout to pay. Moooce never takes payment, never holds funds, and is never the seller.
You remain the merchant of record for every order. You are responsible for the products, prices, descriptions, taxes, shipping, returns, and customer service, exactly as for any other order in your store.
Plans and what they cost
Moooce is billed through Shopify as part of your Shopify invoice. There is no separate payment relationship with us.
| Plan | Monthly | Videos | Products per video | Commission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $9 | 2 | 4 | 4% |
| Business | $19 | 6 | 6 | 3% |
| Pro | $49 | 12 | Unlimited | 3% |
All plans include a 14-day free trial. Partner and development stores are free. If we change a price or a commission rate, Shopify asks you to approve the new charge before it takes effect; until you approve it, nothing changes.
How commission is calculated
Commission is a percentage of the cart subtotal on orders attributed to the Moooce sales channel. It is charged by Shopify as usage on your subscription, in the plan's currency (USD).
An order is attributed to Moooce when it arrives in your store carrying the channel's storefront access token — that is, when the customer reached your checkout through a Moooce link. Orders a customer places by any other route are not attributed and cost you nothing, even if the customer first saw the product in a Moooce video.
Orders in another currency are converted to USD using the European Central Bank's daily reference rate for the day the order was placed. If we cannot obtain a rate, we do not report the order rather than guess one.
We report the sale amount to Shopify; Shopify applies the percentage. The figures shown on the app's statistics page are estimates for your own orientation — Shopify's invoice is what you are charged.
Refunds and cancelled orders
Commission is calculated on the order as placed. We do not currently adjust for later refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks. If this becomes material for your store, contact us and we will look at it case by case.
The Moooce discount
You may set a discount that applies only to carts arriving through a Moooce link. It is yours to set, change, or leave off, and it is applied by a Shopify discount function in your own store. The marker that triggers it travels in the link, so treat it as hidden, not secret: anyone who copies a Moooce link copies the discount with it.
Product availability
You decide which products the channel may show, in Shopify's own product publishing. A product must also be available in your online store, because that is where checkout happens. Moooce tells you on the product in Shopify when this is not the case.
Content and rights
You keep all rights to the videos and product data you upload. You grant us only what is needed to run the service: to store your video, transcode it, and serve it to people who open your link. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including music and any people appearing in it.
We may remove content that is unlawful, infringing, or that puts the service at risk. We will tell you when we do.
Availability
We aim to keep Moooce running, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee. Video hosting and delivery run on Cloudflare Stream; the app and player run on Render. Planned maintenance is announced in the app where we can.
Ending the agreement
You can disconnect Moooce as a sales channel, or uninstall the app, at any time from your Shopify admin — no notice, no email to us. Your videos remain in our database, and links you have already shared stop working. Uninstalling ends the subscription according to Shopify's own billing rules; we do not charge beyond it.
We may end the agreement if the app is used unlawfully, or in a way that harms other merchants or their customers.
Liability
Moooce is provided as it is. To the extent Danish law allows, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in that period. We are not liable for lost profit, lost sales, or indirect loss.
Privacy
What we store, why, and for how long is described in the privacy policy. In short: we store no customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses — only order amounts, currency, and the fact that the order came through the channel.
Data processing agreement
This section is the agreement required by article 28 of the GDPR. It applies whenever Moooce processes personal data on your behalf, and it forms part of these terms — you do not need to sign anything separately.
Roles
You are the data controller. Mindthemedia ApS is your data processor. We process personal data only on your documented instructions, which for this service means: what is needed to attribute orders to the channel, calculate the commission, and show you your own statistics. If we ever believe an instruction breaks data protection law, we will tell you rather than follow it.
What we process
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Subject matter | Running the Moooce sales channel for your shop |
| Duration | For as long as the app is installed |
| Nature and purpose | Storing order records for commission, and counting plays and add-to-cart events |
| Personal data | Order id, order number, order subtotal, currency, and the fact that the order came through Moooce |
| Data subjects | Your customers, and only through those order records |
We do not receive or store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses. Our access to Shopify's protected customer data is at level 1 with no field-level access. The player stores no cookies and no identifier of any kind: an event row is the shop, the video, the event type, a quantity and a timestamp, and cannot be traced to a person.
Confidentiality and security
Everyone with access to your data is bound by confidentiality. Access is limited to the people who need it to run and support the service. All traffic between your browser, our servers, Shopify and our video platform runs over HTTPS. The application and its database run in Frankfurt, inside the EU.
Sub-processors
You authorise the following sub-processors. We will tell you before adding or replacing one, so you have a chance to object.
| Sub-processor | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Render | Hosting of the app, the player and the database | Frankfurt, EU |
| Cloudflare | Video storage and delivery (Cloudflare Stream) | Global network |
Cloudflare delivers video from whichever location is closest to the viewer, which can be outside the EU. Videos hold no personal data about your customers — they are the files you upload yourself.
Helping you meet your obligations
Shopify's own compliance requests reach us automatically. When a customer asks you for their data or asks to be erased, Shopify forwards the request and we answer it: since we hold no personal data that identifies a customer, there is nothing to hand over and nothing to erase. We will confirm that in writing if you need it for your own records.
If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will notify you without undue delay and with what we know, so you can meet your own 72-hour deadline. We will also assist you with data protection impact assessments and with questions from a supervisory authority, to the extent the information is ours to give.
Deletion at the end
When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends us a shop redaction request, and we delete everything we hold about your shop: videos and their products, order records, event counts, your profile image, your settings and your session. The video files themselves stay on the video platform for now so that a reinstallation within a couple of days does not lose your work — ask us and we will delete them too.
Audits
On request we will provide the information needed to show that we meet these obligations, and we will cooperate with an audit you or an auditor you appoint carries out, at reasonable notice and no more than once a year unless an authority requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Changes that affect what you pay go through Shopify's own approval flow.
Governing law
Danish law applies. Disputes are heard by the Danish courts.
